SJC & Rafael Landivar to embark on a relationship that will benefit students, teachers and Belize.
Saint John's College (SJC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala, establishing a partnership that will benefit students in the Civil Engineering program.
Under the terms of the agreement, students who complete the program at SJC will also be eligible to receive a dual degree from Rafael Landivar University. This will allow them to gain valuable international experience and enhance their employment prospects in the global job market.
"It's historic because we are bringing opportunity for our Belizean people and our Belizean students." stated Mrs. Mirtha Alice Peralta, President of St. John's College. "As we announced today, the degree will be a dual degree. So students from this college will receive a St. John's College Bachelor's Degree, but also receive a Bachelor's Degree from Rafael Landivar."
The MOU also includes provisions for faculty exchanges and joint research initiatives, which will further enhance the educational experience for students at both institutions.
Saint John's College is committed to providing its students with opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and skills that will prepare them for successful careers in their chosen fields. The partnership with Rafael Landivar University is a testament to this commitment and will enable SJC students to achieve their academic and professional goals.
